Important

The canvas tool applies to the seating chart, not the event.

Any canvas changes will affect all events using that seating chart, not just the one you’re working on.

Mixed Seating Events (No Canvas Required)

This article references the canvas feature, but canvas is not required to create a mixed Reserved + General Admission event.

To set up a mixed event:

• Add your General Admission ticket types to the event
  

• Use your assigned seating map as usual
  

• Set the Seat Selection View to Mixed Seating View
  

  • Seat Selection View: (seat map view, list view, or mixed seating view)
    

This allows customers to:

• Select reserved seats from the map
  

• Choose the General Admission button to select tickets in that view
  

When to Use Canvas Pop Up

Only use the canvas feature if:

• A section of your map is always General Admission, and
  

• No seats exist beneath the canvas area on the map
  

If you need this setup:

• Create a separate seating chart
  

• Use a background image to label the GA area
  

• Do not place seats in that section below the canavs
  

• Keep reserved seating sections mapped as usual
