This article will demo how to use
the social distance setting for assigned
seating events.
Plugin 5.0 is required to use this feature.
Under EDIT EVENT INFO on an event,
you can enable the social distancing setting. This setting will leave adjacent seats empty on the right and left of what is selected in that section online. This setting is for assigned seating events only. The box office portal will still have the ability to do additional seating, but online seats adjacent to the order will be removed from the online view.
Feature Limitations: This setting will only space seats in a row by section. So if you use right, left, and center for example - it will socially distance the seats in that section. If you have a set up where the whole theatre seating section is something like "main" with natural spacing like isles, it will socially distance the entire row in that section. You may want to add different section names to help break that up. Additionally, seats behind or in front of another row will not be socially distanced. If you need spacing behind or in front of a row, you can make every other row offline on your chart.
