This video explains how to use the shared
allocation function for general admission
events.
Shared allocation is used to sell multiple ticket types (Adult, Student, or Senior tickets for example) and then share the inventory between them.
A "bucket" of tickets is created for all the ticket types to share and sales are pulled from the allocation inventory.
The setup process involves:
- Setting up the ticket types you would like (adult, student, senior, etc) and setting the total qty you are willing to sell for each ticket type.
- Setting the shared allocation bucket number (1 through 5).
- Setting the amount of tickets in the bucket to pull from. The allocation number should be the number of tickets currently left for sale at the time of setup.
Number of tickets minus sold amount = shared allocation.
Example:
100 (max qty) - 5 currently sold tickets = shared allocation of 95.
