This help doc will cover how a group code can be used to
unlock an event for early access (like a
pre-sale promotion).
For codes, use letters and numbers with no spaces or special characters. Example: FALL2299BT
NOTE: The group code will unlock ALL DATES on the event. If only certain dates are supposed to get early access, set those up as different events.

PART 1: Early Access Set Up For An Assigned Seating Event
PART 2: Early Access Set Up For A General Admission Event
Here's a recap of the above video info:
Step 1: Head over to Setup
> More > Group Codes and select
"Add" in the upper right corner of this
page.
Step 2: In this window,
fill in the information that is needed. (Group
Code, Group Name). Select "Add Group
Code."
Step 3: Select the
"Group Settings" icon next to the title of the
page. This button looks like this:
This will launch a window with a
checkbox that reads "Tix Selection: If
checked, only load group tickets." Make sure
this box
is unchecked (this
setting is for a different function with group
code tickets).
Step 4: Go to
the event and set the tickets to go
onsale in the future (your public on
sale date).
To do this for assigned seating, click one seat
on your map and unlock the onsale time
area - then set the ticket to go
onsale on your public onsale date.
To do this for general admission tickets, click each ticket type and set each ticket to your desired public on sale date. Repeat this step for every date on the
event so that all event dates are set
to go onsale on the public onsale
date (both GA or AS events).
Step 5: Make a seat/ticket a group code ticket.
To do this on assigned seating events, mark one seat as
sold and set it to be a group code seat. This
will prevent someone from buying the seat that
is allowing the early access. Click one seat
and mark that one seat as sold and mark it as
a group code ticket. You'll find the group
code setting under the the field titled Offer
Specials. Select your group code and
press SAVE.
For general admission events, create a ticket and set it to your desired group code. Also, set the group code ticket to box office only.
Step 6: Head over to the
"Fees and Accounting" tab on the left side of
the screen. On this page, there is a field
called PreSale Options. Make sure
this option is turned on and press
SAVE.
Once all these steps are completed,
your patrons will be able to enter a group
code that will give them access to pre-sale
tickets.
