The Subscription Renewal workflow helps organizations manage and automate subscriber renewal communications. Renewal templates allow you to create standardized email and letter content for renewal campaigns while supporting renewal-specific placeholders that automatically populate subscriber and subscription information.
Depending on your renewal process, you may only need an email template or a letter template. Online renewal workflows typically use email templates, while mailed renewal notices use letter templates.
You can create multiple renewal templates to streamline the renewal process and maintain consistent communication with subscribers across seasons and campaigns.
Create Subscription Renewal Email Template
Note: Your renewal email template is required to have one of the following placeholders for your campaign to be successful.
{RENEWALLINK}is required when sending renewal emails that allow patrons to complete their subscription renewal online. This is the most common renewal workflow. This placeholder generates the personalized renewal link used to access and submit the renewal order.{BALANCEDUELINK}is required when renewal orders have already been generated and patrons are being sent a balance due notice. This placeholder generates the personalized payment link used to review and pay the outstanding balance on the renewal order.
