Custom Payment Types allow you to process a transaction in VBO while recording the payment as paid with a custom method of your choosing.
Instead of being limited to default options like credit card, cash, or check, you can create your own payment types and name them however you want.
Each custom payment type simply defines how the transaction was paid and the name and amount is reflected in reporting.
Common use cases include:
- In-kind donations
- Scholarships or sponsor-covered registrations
- Third-party platforms
- External Credit Card Machines
Once the custom payment type is created, it will be selectable in the box office.
