If Text Messaging is enabled under EVENTS > EVENT SETTINGS > EVENT SETTINGS - customers can receive a text message for order confirmations.

Additionally, if enabled on the event level via reminder messages, customers can receive the event reminder and thank you message via text. This is a service provided by a 3rd party vendor, Twilio.

To cover expenses related to Text Messaging, VBO will charge 3 cents for each text message sent. This fee will be added to your invoice.

For US Numbers: Enter the area code and send. Example: 4085551234

For International Numbers: Enter 011, then the country code, and then the phone number.  Example: 011491769762651

How do text message reminders and thank you messages work?

If enabled, a text message will be sent to the patron X hours before the event and X hours after the event. If send as text message is turned on, a text message AND an email notification will fire.  If there is no mobile phone number on file, an email will still be sent. Text messages should be 160 characters or less when using the text feature as an event reminder or thank you message. 

Only the following place holders are supported for text messaging:
