This article explains the difference between the Box Office and Phone Sales tabs, how to switch between them, and what to do if required customer information is missing during checkout.
Box Office Tab
The Box Office tab is designed for quick, in-person transactions where customer billing details are not required.
You can enter customer information (phone number, email, address) if needed, but it is optional.
Phone Sales Tab
The Phone Sales tab is designed for orders where you are collecting customer information (typically over the phone). In this tab, customer billing information is required.
If Name, Address, Phone, and Email fields are bold/required during checkout, you are currently using the Phone Sales tab.
⚠️ Note: When selling subscription items, the system will enforce the Phone Sales tab since customer account information is required for subscriptions.

What do I do if I don’t have one of the required inputs?
If the customer declines to provide the required information, you have two options:
Switch to the Box Office tab (recommended, if available), OR
Enter a single blank space in the required field to continue the order.
⚠️ Do not enter incorrect customer information just to bypass a required field.
How do I know what tab I’m using?
Check the left-side navigation:
If you are using Phone Sales, Billing Info will appear bold and required.
You can click Box Office in the left navigation to switch the order to Box Office (except for subscriptions).
