When enabled, this setting disables certain features that rely on third-party services which may process personal data.
This setting is commonly used by European promoters as part of their GDPR compliance strategy. Enabling it will:
- Disable Google reCAPTCHA on the account
- Remove the statement:“This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply” from ticketing plugins
By default, this setting is disabled, and Google reCAPTCHA is active. When enabled, the Google reCAPTCHA statement appears at the bottom of the plugin.

How to Enable Data Protection Compliance
- Go to EVENTS > EVENT SETTINGS > EVENT SETTINGS
- Click General Settings
- In the slide-out menu, enable Data Protection Compliance
- Click Save
Once saved:
- Google reCAPTCHA will no longer be used
- The site protection statement will be removed from plugins
Setting Behavior
- Unchecked — Google reCAPTCHA is enabled (recommended)
- Checked — Google reCAPTCHA is disabled
