This article explains how to create a custom patron report in VBO that filters users by tags. Tags let you organize and segment patron accounts, and with the custom patron report tool you can easily generate reports that include only the accounts with specific tags.

How to Filter Users by Tags in a Custom Patron Report

Go to REPORTS > CUSTOM PATRON REPORT

  1. Click ADD REPORT to build a new report.

  2. In the report builder:

    • Top section (Output Columns):

      • Select the outputs you want.

      • Important: To use tags, you must select Account ID.

    • Bottom section (Filter Options):

      • Check the Tags box.

      • Paste in the tag(s) you want to filter by.

      • If searching for multiple tags, separate them with commas.

  3. Formatting tags:

    • Tags with spaces must use underscores (_) instead.

    • Example: A tag written as Example Tag should be entered as Example_Tag 

  4. To confirm correct formatting:

    • Go to SET UP > CRM > ACCOUNT TAGS.

    • Copy the exact tag name shown there.
