The Custom patron report can be used to create an Event ID comparison report. This report shows how many tickets each patron purchased for each selected event.
A potential use for this report is identifying patrons who purchased one event but not another. For example, a promoter offering two related classes could identify patrons who attended the first class but did not attend the second, then use that information for targeted marketing.
In the example below, one patron purchased tickets to both events, while other patrons purchased tickets to only one of the events. The marketing team could then use the report to identify patrons they may want to invite to the event they did not attend.
Find the Event IDs
Before creating the report, locate the Event ID for each event you want to compare. The Event ID will also help you identify each event in the finished report.
1. Go to Events > Manage Events
2. Under List of Events, select Open Events or Closed Events, depending on where the event is located.
3. Locate the event. The Event ID appears next to the event name (for example, #93334 and #70024).

Create the Event Comparison Report
1. Go to Reports > Custom Patron Reports.
2. Click Add Report.

4. Scroll down to Set Filter Options and click on Events.
5. Turn on Event Sales.
6. From the Event Sales dropdown, select Multi-Select Option.

7. Select each event you would like to compare.
8. Enter a name for the report, such as Event Comparison Report.
9. Click Save + Run.

Understanding the Results
The report creates a separate column for each selected event using the Event ID. Each patron appears on their own row, and the number shown under each Event ID represents the number of tickets that patron purchased for that event.

Tip: A 0 indicates that the patron did not purchase tickets to that event. You can use this information with the patron contact fields in the report to build a targeted marketing list. |
Example: In the sample report, EID70024 and EID93334 are the two events being compared. A patron with a ticket count in both columns purchased both events; a patron with 0 in one column did not purchase that event.
